InnoCSR participated in Energy Tech Summit Asia 2026, held in Kuala Lumpur on 29–30 September, where Founder and CEO Sam Yoosuk Lee delivered a keynote on the Good Bricks System to investors, climate-tech leaders, and other regional stakeholders. Marking the inaugural Asian edition of the long-running European summit, the event brought together startups, investors, corporates and policymakers to advance climate-tech innovation, investment and scale across Asia-Pacific.

In his address, “Replacing 300 Billion Fired Bricks in South Asia with Good Bricks Technology,” Sam highlighted the urgent opportunity to transform South Asia’s traditional fired-brick industry through a scalable, low-carbon alternative.

At the center of InnoCSR’s approach is the Good Bricks System, a non-fired brick manufacturing solution powered by its proprietary Good Soil Stabilizer technology. By enabling soil and cement to achieve the strength and durability needed for construction without conventional kiln firing, the technology eliminates coal combustion from the production process and avoids an estimated 550 grams of CO₂ for every fired brick replaced. Importantly, Good Bricks is designed to compete with conventional fired bricks on price, quality and production volume, while enabling existing brick manufacturers to transition to non-fired production without fundamentally changing their business. Combined with carbon finance, the model also enables participating manufacturers to access hydraulic press machinery with no upfront investment, helping remove a key barrier to industry-wide transition.

This transition is particularly relevant across the Himalayan region, where communities face growing climate risks, including glacier loss, extreme rainfall, floods, and landslides. As countries such as Nepal pursue economic development while strengthening climate resilience, reducing emissions from carbon-intensive industries is becoming increasingly urgent. With carbon markets, government support and industry demand creating new opportunities for scale, InnoCSR is building the partnerships and infrastructure needed to progressively replace 300 billion fired bricks across South Asia—demonstrating how practical climate technology can support a lower-carbon future for the Himalayas and beyond.
